CHASING UBIQUITY

UBIQUITY - the state, fact, or capacity of being, or seeming to be, everywhere at the same time: omnipresence.

Thanks to this superpower, we teleport through imagination, recalling and freeing our bodies, mirroring how our spirits traverse between past and present.

#1 THE GREAT DIVE

Hotel Grand Amour - Paris, France (6.10.2016) x Nautical Centre - Evian-les-Bains, France (14.08.2016)

We swim in water, understanding its flow like life's fluidity. Alive, we're shaped by everyday moments. The green-tiled hotel faucet in Hotel Grand Amour, in Paris sparks my memories of a childhood pool dive, merging with the recent grief of my grandma. It gently prompts us, amid challenges, to refresh our minds and relish the present.

#10 BATH TIME

The Old City - Annecy, France (29.12.2017) X Bahamas, USA (27.03.2016)

When relaxing, we close our eyes and often mentally escape. In my bathtub, I imagined clear Bahamian waters, reminding me that present moments are ubiquitous and can be revisited freely in our memories.

#2 TAKE A DEEP BREATH

Hotel Grand Amour - Paris, France (6.10.2017) x Nautical Centre - Evian-les-Bains, France (14.08.2016)

We go through our lives swimming past moments but sometimes we get overwhelmed, and forget to breathe. When we learn how to pause and look up, we are reminded of the warm sun on the other side. Sometimes we need to leave our comfort zone to take a deep breath, whether this is in our bathroom or a pool.

#11 STAIRWAYS TO HEAVEN

Metropolitan Hotel, Miami, Florida (06.03.2016) X Bienvenue Hotel - Paris, France (01.12.2017)

As I am rushing down the stairs, the patterns on the Hotel Bienvenue staircase in Paris are echoing with my past dipping into the Metropolitan Hotel pool, in Miami where the water reflected the scene. When layered, the two moments seamlessly blend into each other and a memory that existed in different times came together as one.

#54 DEPARTURE

Evian-Les-Bains, France (21.12.23) x Cointrin Airport - Geneva, Switzerland (4.01.2024)

I've consistently observed an intriguing parallel between diving into a departure and embarking on a journey. That moment in time when you get into a realm where gravity loses its grip and worries are left at the water's edge. With each plunge, flight or boarding, you embark on a refreshing journey, embracing the freedom and fluidity of a new adventure, the life adventure.
